SCIENCE AND CULTURE Correction for “Science and Culture: Petri palettes create microbial masterpieces,” by Jyoti Madhusoodanan, which appeared in issue 40, October 4, 2016, of Proc Natl Acad Sci USA (113:11056–11058; 10.1073/pnas.1610867113). The editors note that “American Society of Microbiology (ASM)” should instead appear as “The American Society for Microbiology (ASM).” The editors also note that Chaseedaw Giles manages social media, and markets the Agar Art contest, but does not manage it.
